Wish List of Tricks

image

This page keeps changing. As tricks get done I move them over to the Timeline and Milestones Page.

Sometimes I’ll make a trick, but want to learn how to make it higher, tighter, faster, smoother, or more consistent. In that case, I’ll leave it posted on this page.

• Backside 180 ollies. I can already land this, but they need lots of height and consistency. I want to float them up and then spin them around!

• Backside tailslides. I have already landed a bunch of these, but not in awhile, and only on very low, waxy curbs. I CRAVE getting these better, on ledges.

• K-Grinds. Not too long into my history of relearning to skate, I pulled off some of these, but haven’t really tried or practiced since. Would love to really be able to do them consistently.

• Tre Flips. I can usually land at least a couple of these per session, but I want to get them with more consistently, and with a cleaner landing and roll away. I’d love to get them down stairs.

• Frontside flip. I’ve landed a few in my adult skating life, but haven’t really practiced or made them part of my routine.

• Blunts and Blunt slides. Never done one.

• Kickflip into manual. I’ve only done them by accident.

• Kickflip out of manual. Only ever landed one as of 11/4/14

• Boardslide on a handrail. Never done.

• Varial flip into 50-50. Never done. Did one into a stall once.

• Hardflip. Never done.

• Fakie tre flip.

• Ollie impossible.

• Nollie heelflip

• Nollie kickflip

• Fakie 180 backside heelflip (am just starting to learn these as of 10/20/14).

• A good enough kickflip to do them up and over gaps. Working on it.

• All kinds of things on transition.

• Tailslides to any kind of flip out. Or even a tail stall to a flip out!

• 360 backside ollie

• Ollie big spin (slight update: I learned this fakie, frontside and backside, mid-November 2014. Still need the straightforward ones).

• Fakie no comply big spin – (update, I learned these frontside, mid-november, 2014)

• 5-0 grinds. I just haven’t really tried to do these since I was a kid. Sure, I’ve done a few small ones as an adult, but not really anything to blog about.

• Nose grinds. I’ve done a few little ones as an adult, more mostly as an accident while trying to learn K-grinds.

• Smith grinds on ledges.

• Boardslide on a rail.

• Frontside popshovit to late flip

• Ollieing into a nose manual. I’ve done plenty of nose manuals on the pad, but I sort of just see-saw my way up, putting the front wheels down and lifting the back ones just in time. Limits the possibilities doing it this way.

There is much more that I’d love to accomplish. For now though, this is a great start on which to feast my obsession.
